Welcome to Blogging In Big Bear!

As many of you now visiting here for the first time are aware, for the last three years or so, I've been sending out e-mails, sometimes several a day, to recipients on what I call my "Political List". Well, as technology advanced, and as I received replys from you, two things began to happen. The first was that my ISP, more and more frequently refused to send out my e-mails because there were too many people on the list, and their system automatically classified the mailing as spam. That meant that I had to divide the list into smaller groups just to get it to go through. After that, this same anti-spam system began to completely block me from e-mailing for two hour periods after a certain amount of info had been sent out. Basically it simply was becoming a hassle, and I began to look for an alternative. At the same time, it occurred to me that I had been receiving many interesting replies from people on the Political List, but that I was the only one seeing them. Well, it seemed to me that a Blog was the obvious answer to both problems. So......here we are! We may be called "Blogging In Big Bear", but that simply refers to where I am. This blog is dedicated to Political Stuff, in the main. However, we'll touch on Theatre, Big Bear area concerns, Big Bear real estate, and we'll probably get into lots of areas I never dreamed of, but that you might want to throw into the mix.So.......there you have it. Most of the very first of you here will be following a link from the Political List mailings. It's my intention to drop the e-mail list completely, so make yourselves at home here. This is just the beginning of the Blog site, so please bookmark it and come back to explore as much as you like. The site will be changing every day, and will soon include links to many other blogs and web sites that you'll find interesting and informative. You can set up e-mail notification to let you know when things here change or new posts appear. You can even link via XML, RSS, or ATOM feeds through your own reader. That's the best way to keep up on all the newest news and info that's out there. If you don't have a feed reader, or you don't even know what the hell I'm talking about, then just stick around.
