Massachsetts Legislature Votes Down Bill To Ban Gay Marriage

The Massachusetts state legislature today voted down a bill intended to reverse last years court decision legalizing same-sex marriage in the state. The bill was designed and presented by social conservative groups with the intent to reverse the court decision, but was effectively trounced in a resounding defeat.
